A MAN has been handed a conditional discharge after he was caught in possession of a sword and a knuckle duster in Herefordshire.
Daniel Warner entered guilty pleas to two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in December.
The court heard from prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 36-year-old defendant had been caught in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a 50cm long sword at a private address in Leominster's Ryelands Road, on December 2.

He had also been in possession of a second offensive weapon, namely a knuckle duster, at the same address on December 2.
Warner, who is of Ryelands Road, Leominster, in Herefordshire, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and fined £60 for the offences.
He must also pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £26 victim surcharge.
The sword and knuckle duster were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
