A HEREFORD man has been ordered to undergo alcohol treatment after breaking his restraining order and causing criminal damage on Christmas Day
Shane Pickersgill entered guilty pleas to one count of causing criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 and one of harassment by breach of a restraining order when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in December.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 30-year-old defendant had contacted a woman he was prohibited from having contact with by a restraining order imposed by magistrates in Leeds without reasonable excuse in Ross-on-Wye on December 25.

He had also, without lawful excuse, damaged a door and a hanging mirror belonging to the same woman in Ross-on-Wye on Christmas Day, the court heard.
Pickersgill, who is of Whitecross Road in Hereford, was handed a 12-month community order for the offence, and must complete a six-month alcohol treatment programme.
He was also ordered to complete the Building Better Relationships programme.
No order for compensation or prosecution costs was made due to Pickersgill's lack of means to pay.
