A BANNED woman has been up before a court after hitting people during an incident in Hereford.

Charlotte Walker entered a guilty plea to one charge of breaching a criminal behaviour order when she appeared before magistrates in Hereford in January.

The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 24-year-old had, without reasonable excuse, acted in an antisocial and disorderly manner by hitting members of the public, which she was prohibited from doing by a criminal behaviour order, in Hereford on December 17.

The criminal behaviour order, imposed by Worcester Crown Court in October 2021, bans Walker from behaving in a way to cause or likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, including shouting and swearing, to any person in any public place, whether face to face or by telephone or social media platforms.

She is also banned from possessing an open vessel of alcohol or entering any on-licensed premises with a licence to sell alcohol within parts of Leominster, entering Corn Square, The Grange and car park, except for access for shops and businesses between 09am and 5pm daily, and entering Sydonia Recreation Ground in Coningsby Road, except to attend Halo Leisure Centre to undertake physical exercise upon payment for that activity.

Walker, who is of Kenwater Close in Leominster, Herefordshire, was fined £80 for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken her guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.

She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £60.
