A NEW Thai takeaway is gearing up to open in Hereford today (January 17).
The Bridge Thai Street Food will be welcoming its first customers to its shop in Hereford's Bridge Street this afternoon.
The takeaway will be open from 3pm to 9pm Monday to Thursday and Sundays, and from 12pm to 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
The new takeaway has already been tempting potential customers with pictures of the foods they will be offering, including traditional Thai dishes.
The menu boasts stir fry dishes with a choice of tofu and vegetables, chicken, pork, seafood, fish, duck, prawn, or beef, seafood specials, a range of starters, dim sum, soups, salads, grills, noodle dishes, and curries.
An unusual but tempting addition to the menu is Thai pizza, with two options available at £12.95 each.
They will also be offering luxury items such as pad Thai lobster (pre-order only), the team said on their Facebook page.

The new takeaway is set to open in the former Jamal's Kebab House, which has undergone a transformation in recent weeks.
Mr Kritsakorn Tangjaritsakul, of It My Thai Food Ltd, who is behind the takeaway, said he wants to connect everyone with traditional Thai food, share his culture, and bring satisfaction to all his customers.
The takeaway will be cash only for now, with customers also able to pay by bank transfer, with Mr Tangjaritsakul requesting that delivery orders over £40 are paid by bank transfer, as the takeaway is waiting for a new card payment machine and for phone repairs.
Mr Tangjaritsakul said he apologised for the inconvenience.
"We are waiting for a technician to come to fix the phone and internet cable, as it has not been used for a long time," he said.
He is also offering police and NHS workers 10 per cent off on collection only orders when they show their ID cards.
Much-loved Jamal's Kebab House, at Number 8 Bridge Street, was being offered on a leasehold basis for £15,000 per annum by agents Sunderlands after closing in February last year after the death of popular Hereford businessman Jamal Haider.
Mr Haider originally opened the business, previously known as 'Petros' with business partner Peter in 1985, becoming full owner and renaming it Jamal's Kebab House some years later.
It was listed as being 'under offer' in November last year.
