A grocery shop in a busy Hereford street looks likely to change hands following trouble with the police.
The Europe store in Eign Gate lost its licence to sell alcohol in November following police accusations of selling stolen goods and unlicensed prescription medicines, and earlier, illegal cigarettes.

His application says it will be “a food shop selling Lithuanian food” as well as alcohol between 9am and 9pm.
It undertakes to train all staff in sale of alcohol, operate a 25 policy to record incidents and to employ CCTV.
Like the shop’s previous owner Ina Turuliene, Mr Bagdonas is listed at Companies House as a Lithuanian national.
Comments on his application can be made on the Herefordshire Council website until February 1.
