THE road leading to Hereford County Hospital will be partially closed for 12 days, Herefordshire Council has said.
Stonebow Road, will be shut in one direction from the hospital to Commercial Road from Monday, January 30 for reinforcement works, it said.
A public notice said the diversion for people trying to leave the hospital would be via the private road onto Union Walk and then back onto Commercial Street near the Merton Hotel.
The closure was also needed due to the likelihood of danger to the public while the 12-day works are taking place, it said.
The work comes as the refurbishment of the Stonebow mental health unit, run by the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, continues.
