AN ACCUSED Herefordshire man has been sent to the crown court over an allegation that he escaped from lawful custody.
Kieran Evans-Baldwin appeared before magistrates at Hereford's Bath Street Justice Centre in January accused of one count of escaping from lawful custody.
The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 27-year-old is accused of, while in lawful custody in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, on April 15 last year, escaping from that custody.

Evans-Baldwin, who was represented at the magistrates' court by solicitor Chris Read, did not enter a plea to the charge.
The case was sent to the crown court, with Evans-Baldwin, who is of Three Crosses Road in Peterstow, near Ross-on-Wye, released on unconditional bail ahead of his next hearing.
He will appear before Worcester Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on February 8.
