FOLLOWING an unpleasant brush with flu and sepsis, may I use your paper to thank the staff of Hereford hospital for my treatment between December 29 and January 6?
As my gratitude is a poor reward for NHS workers.
I wish these good people every success in protecting their living standards and preserving the service of the NHS during the current industrial action.
Every government is able to set its priorities regarding spending and taxation.
OTHER LETTERS:
- Hereford city centre is filthy thanks to these people
- Why new milkshake vending machines in Herefordshire are not good news
- Parking charges are costing Hereford its future
The current crisis in the NHS is a direct result of the priorities set and choices made by Conservative and Liberal Governments since 2010.
Decisions on public sector funding and public sector pay are matters of political choice not unpredictable misfortunes lying in wait for the unwary administrator.
