A HEREFORDSHIRE man who spent Christmas behind bars has been jailed after making Facebook posts.
Marek Olesky was remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing after he was found guilty of two counts of harassment by breach of a restraining order by magistrates in Hereford in December.
He appeared before magistrates in Hereford in January for sentencing.
The court heard from prosecutor Paul John that the 37-year-old had, without reasonable excuse, published a post on Facebook between August 31 and September 7 last year, which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order imposed by magistrates in Hereford on May 24.
He had also, without reasonable excuse, indirectly contacted a woman he was prohibited from contacting by the order by publishing a post on Facebook between August 31 and September 7.

Magistrates said that only a custodial sentence could be justified as Olesky has a flagrant disregard for court orders and had committed repeated offences against the same complainant.
Olesky, who is of River View, Ross-on-Wye, was jailed for 12 months and his restraining order extended by two years to expire in May 2026.
He was also ordered to pay a £187 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime, but no prosecution costs were ordered as an immediate prison sentence was imposed.
