A HEREFORDSHIRE company which runs leisure centres and pools across the county has been fined by a court.
Halo Leisure Services Ltd was proven guilty in their absence of one count of failing to furnish estimates or returns as required by magistrates in Cwmbran in January.
The court heard that the company had been requited by the Chancellor of the Exchequer to furnish a return for the quarterly vacancy survey for May of 2022 to the Office for National Statistics for the purpose of statistical inquiry under the Statistics of Trade Act 1947.

But, magistrates were told, Halo Leisure Services had failed to do so when required by August 22, or on any date thereafter.
Halo Leisure Services Ltd, which gave the court an address in Lion Yard, Broad Street, Leominster, was fined £2,000 for the offence and ordered to pay an £800 victim surcharge.
No order for costs was made as, the magistrates said, the business had already paid costs.
