AN UNLICENSED and uninsured driver has been fined by magistrates after he was caught out on a busy Herefordshire road.
Nicholai Aaron Alexandrovich Jones, admitted one count of driving without a licence and one of using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance to magistrates in Worcester.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 41-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra without a licence authorising him to drive a vehicle of that class in Leominster's Bargates on August 11.

He had also been driving that car without a valid insurance policy in place on the same date, the court was told.
Jones, who is of Ridgemoor Road in Leominster, was fined a total of £160 and received six penalty points, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £64 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
