The court heard from prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 18-year-old is accused of repeatedly or continuously engaged in controlling and coercive behaviour towards a woman by using and threatening unlawful violence towards her, which he knew or ought to have known would have a serious effect on her.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between March 31, 2021 and October 1, 2021, and between January 31, 2022, and April 6, 2022.
The case was adjourned for a case management hearing to be held at Hereford's magistrates' court on February 13, and Cullen, who is of Bath Street, Hereford, was released on unconditional bail.
