A HEREFORDSHIRE school has said some students are feeling pressured into buying the Prime energy drink at hugely inflated prices – just because it's a trend.
Fairfield High School, in the Golden Valley village of Peterchurch, reminded parents in a letter that such drinks were banned after it found out some children were reselling them for twice as much.
Headteacher Sue Gaston said she was "very concerned" about Prime drinks in school – the product launched by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul which has seen pushing and shoving at shops, including Aldi in Hereford, as eager customers try to grab one.

Mrs Gaston said the school, which has around 550 pupils aged between 11 and 16, had always been clear that fizzy and energy drinks are not to be taken in by students, so on those grounds alone it would confiscate Prime.
But she said "a real worry" was that they had been sold for at least twice what they can be bought for in a shop.
"Some students are feeling under pressure to buy them because they are currently a trend on social media," she said.

"We regularly teach students about the need to be sceptical of claims on social media and websites but teenagers find it even more difficult than adults to resist the lure of an effective advertising campaign."
The school, which has been cashless for around 10 years, reminded parents that it does not allow buying and selling of any items in school between students.
