AN ATTACKER has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after an assault on another man in Hereford.
Steven Richardson entered a guilty plea to one count of assault by beating when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester in January after entering a not guilty plea at an earlier hearing.
The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Sarah Hurd that the 36-year-old had assaulted a man in Hereford by beating him between September 15 and 16.

Richardson, who is of Putson Avenue in Hereford, was handed a 12-month community order with 72 hours of unpaid work for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when deciding on the penalty.
He must also pay prosecution costs of £400 and a £114 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
No compensation was ordered as, magistrates said, there were only minor injuries and the injured party did not support the prosecution.
