A THIEF who stole clothes, alcohol, and toothbrushes from Hereford's TK Maxx and Waitrose shops was caught with an illegal drug, a court has heard.
Mohammed Khalifa Guinech entered guilty pleas to one count of possessing a controlled drug, and two of theft from a shop when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in January.

The court heard that the 28-year-old had been caught after stealing a quantity of clothing and shoes from Hereford's Old Market TK Maxx shop, and alcohol and electric toothbrushes from the nearby Waitrose supermarket on January 17.
He had also been found to have been in possession of controlled class B drug cannabis in Hereford on the same date, the court was told.
Guinech, of Newhampton Road East in Wolverhampton, was ordered to be detained in the courthouse until the court rose, with his detention deemed served by reason of time already spent in custody.
The cannabis was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed, but no prosecution costs were ordered due to his lack of means.
