AN ATTACKER has been jailed after admitting assaulting emergency workers.
John Stancer, of Ridgemoor Road in Leominster, entered guilty pleas to two charges of assaulting an emergency worker by beating and one of common assault of an emergency worker when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester in January after entering not guilty pleas at an earlier hearing.
The court heard from prosecutor Andrew Mitchinson that the 44-year-old had assaulted two police officers, who were acting in the course of their duties, by beating in Worcester on November 28.

He had also assaulted a third police officer acting in the course of his duties in Worcester on the same date, the court was told.
Magistrates said the offences were so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified, as it had been a sustained assault on police officers.
Stancer was jailed for a total of eight weeks and ordered to pay compensation of £75 to each of the officers.
