William Harmon appeared before magistrates in Hereford in February accused of causing an offensive, indecent, obscene, or menacing message to be sent by a public communication network, possessing a controlled class B drug, and possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.

The court heard from prosecutor Paul John that the 35-year-old was accused of causing grossly offensive, obscene, or menacing Facebook messages to be sent in Herefordshire between May 27 and June 13, and of possessing a quantity of controlled class B drug amphetamine in Hereford on June 17.

He was also accused of possessing a lock knife in Hereford's Gaol Street on June 17.
Harmon was convicted of the first two offences and found not guilty of the knife possession charge.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service and Harmon, of Monkhide Village Road, Herefordshire, was released on unconditional bail.
He will appear before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing on February 28.
