I AGREE entirely with Julia Evans (February 10). When will Herefordshire Council see sense?
They continually try to solve the problem by using the “sticking plaster” solution. No one goes through Hereford on a regular basis if they can find another way around, including lorries trying to negotiate narrow lanes, and who can blame them?
OTHER LETTERS:
- Hereford's traffic now is worse than before the new bridge was built
- Green plans for Herefordshire offer 'much to celebrate'
- Hereford's traffic is a nightmare – and Lidl will make it even worse
I am sure visitors will be put off making further visits because of the traffic problems and expensive parking.
There really isn’t any incentive to visit this historic town with its lovely “river”. The pollution must be off the scale at times.
Spare a thought for the long suffering residents!
