A HEREFORD man has been sent for trial after denying a public order offence.
Aivis Vasiljius appeared before magistrates in Hereford in February accused of one count of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.
The court heard from prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 41-year-old is alleged to have used threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a woman harassment, alarm, or distress in Hereford on July 25.

Vasiljius, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Emma Thorne, entered a not guilty plea to the charge.
The case was sent for trial and Vasiljius, of Cornewall Street, Hereford, was released on unconditional bail.
He will appear before magistrates in Hereford next for trial on April 3.
