HEREFORD'S own Beefy Boys will be turning the clocks back to World War Two with a themed party to mark the coronation of King Charles.
To celebrate the historic event, the Old Market-based National Burger Awards winners will be holding a themed Blitz party featuring cabaret acts and a full live swing band.
On May 7, the Shack Revolution in Hereford will be transformed into a WW2 bomb shelter, complete with sandbags, bunting and vintage cocktails.
There will be live swing music from festival favourites Electro Swing Circus, and live cabaret from two of the UK's top burlesque performers, Miss Betsy Rose and Miss Giddy Heights, plus DJs playing swing music, vintage rock and roll, soul, and Motown.

The Beefy Boys will be serving up some authentic 1930s-style smash burgers and fries in the courtyard, with the 'Old Boy’, their entry burger for the National Burger Awards, on the menu.
Beefy Boys co-founder Murf said: “We want the Blitz party to be the biggest party of the year, a chance for everyone to dress up have fun and dance the night away. Themed dress for all the guests is strongly encouraged!
"The two best-dressed guests will both receive a £100 cash prize. We want to see everything from land girls to pilots, Tommies, SAS Rogue heroes and sailors! Grab your glad rags and your ration books and come on down."
Tickets are £20 and available from The Beefy Boys website. The event will run from 8pm to 2am. For more information, please email hereford@thebeefyboys.com
