AN APPRENTICE plumber has been banned from the roads after police were called to Hereford's Asda supermarket.
Joshua Sisson admitted one count of drink-driving when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
A witness had been sat in their car in Hereford's Asda car park at 10.15pm on February 1 when they saw Sisson pull up in an orange Vauxhall Mokka, which he abandoned across several spaces, prosecutor Eleanor Peart said.
The witness reported Sisson, who they said had been staggering and aggressive after he emerged from his car, to police.
An evidential breath test revealed he had 100 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
In a police interview, Sisson said he had been to the Wye Inn with friends, where he had drunk alcohol before getting into his car and driving to Asda.

Emma Thorne, for Sisson, said that the 33-year-old had been for a few drinks and to play darts with friends and had felt ok to drive.
"He went to Asda to get food, but when he got there he realised he was not fit to drive and called a taxi," Mrs Thorne said.
But, she said, police had already been called by a witness, and Sisson was arrested.
"He is aware he will be banned," Mrs Thorne said.

"The loss of his licence will mean the loss of his job. He is an apprentice plumber and needs a driving licence for that."
Sisson, of Dinedor, Herefordshire, was handed a 12-month community order with a six-month alcohol treatment requirement and disqualified from driving for 24 months.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £144 victim surcharge.
