A MAIN road near Ross-on-Wye will be shut for 10 days later this month as drainage work takes place.
The roadworks will see the B4222 shut between Rudhall Brook to the Gloucestershire boundary from March 13.
In a public notice, Herefordshire Council said the road, between the A40 at Lea and Newent, would be shut from the junction of Millbrook Gardens to the junction of Knightshill.

The diversion would be via the B4222 onto the B4221 through Upton Bishop, the A449 outside Ross-on-Wye, the A40 towards Gloucester and back on the B4222 at Lea.
The same route also applies in reverse.
The council said the closure was needed due to drainage works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place.
Work should take 10 days, it said.
