A NEW tenant is wanted at a former supermarket in Hereford city centre.
Eign Gate's Iceland supermarket, which closed in September last year, is being marketed by agents Mason Partners.
The supermarket shut its doors after the opening of the company's Food Warehouse outlet on the Salmon Retail Park in the city's Holmer Road.
Documents that were submitted with the planning application for the Food Warehouse in Holmer Road said Iceland had "no intention" of closing its existing shop in Eign Street.

The company said having both brands had been successful in other cities such as Gloucester.
But Iceland later made a U-turn on its plans, confirming in August that the city centre shop would be closing.
The agents said the unit is in a "strong secondary location with good footfall" and is currently unfurnished.

It offers potential tenants a ground floor unit with full cover storage accessed by a goods lift and rear servicing.
The shop is available by way of a new full repairing and insuring under lease for a term of years to be agreed, up to June 2027, the agents said.
Offers are invited for the unit, which Mason Partners said has a rateable value of £34,000.
