SHOPPERS in Leominster are being encouraged to come out in force again tomorrow (March 11) as the town celebrates its local businesses.
Leominster Independent's Day will once again be taking place following its success last year. There will be plenty of family activities on offer, as well as promotions and treats for shoppers to enjoy as they wander through the historic streets.
And what's more, there will be free parking available in the town's pay and display car parks throughout the day.

Catherine Button, a partner at The Merchant's House, a cafe and antiques centre based in Corn Square, said the day is a great way to showcase what's good about the town.
"It's usually a busy day and you get lots of people that don't normally visit Leominster," said Catherine.
"They go to Ludlow or Hereford, and sometimes Ledbury, so don't necessarily come into Leominster.
"But it has lovely independent shops. We're a cafe and antiques centre so we have people come in to look at the antiques and realise we're also a cafe. Likewise, they may come in to have a coffee and a cake and discover we're an antique shop and realise that Leominster has lots of antique shops.
"Normally in the period between Christmas and Easter, it's quiet but we've been really busy. We have lots of people from Kidderminster and Wolverhampton coming to Leominster for the day."

"Our staff do enjoy the day because it's a good way to celebrate the independents in the town and it feels very buoyant," he said.
"Leominster has got great history and I think it's a great town.
"To me, it feels like a browsing town with the amount of art galleries and antique shops it has. It is very easy to spend money here."
