AS a person who has always lived and worked in and around Hereford, I feel very strongly that a main road and a bridge are imperative to the city’s future.
To take most of the noise and fumes from the main living areas is paramount to health and safety on these inner city roads.
We all know that a serious accident on the new bridge all but closes down the roads for hours.
OTHER LETTERS:
- Who in their right mind wouldn't think Hereford needs another bridge?
- Why are Herefordshire's towns and villages being forgotten?
- Asylum seekers: Herefordshire MPs comments are a disgrace
This I find inexcusable and embarrassing for the residents and surely for Herefordshire Council.
And don’t start me on the stupidity of closing the inner city roads to motorists.
Put up parking prices if you like, but closing off parking places will close down businesses and shops, and will lose business tax payments to the council.
