A HEREFORDSHIRE man who failed to turn up for unpaid work has been back up before a court.
Simon Hughes admitted one count of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in March.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 32-year-old had failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order imposed by magistrates in Hereford on December 11, 2019, by failing to attend unpaid work appointments on February 11 and 18 this year.
He had then failed to provide acceptable evidence to cover his absence within five working days, the court heard.

The community order made in 2019 was revoked and the original offence of drink-driving with 227 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, more than twice the legal limit of 80 microgrammes, resentenced.
Hughes, of Aston Close, Deer Park, Ledbury, was handed a new 12-month community order with 95 hours of unpaid work.
No order for prosecution costs was made due to his lack of means.
