Employment minister Guy Opperman MP praised Leominster Jobcentre’s “innovative” work to bring together jobseekers and the NHS locally during a visit to the town last Friday (March 24).
The minister discussed this and other measures to address economic inactivity with local MP Sir Bill Wiggin and Jobcentre staff.
Mr Opperman called the centre’s work with the Wye Valley NHS Trust “a trailblazing and innovative approach that is helping to boost local employment”.

Mr Opperman also highlighted the Department for Work & Pensions’ new In Work Progression scheme, which he said “is helping people to improve their earnings and career prospects”.
This has now been rolled out to all Jobcentres across the country.
