A HEREFORD man who threatened that a house would be "lit up" will be sentenced later this month.
David Montgomery entered guilty pleas to one count of threatening to damage or destroy property, and two of assault by beating when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in March after previously entering not guilty pleas.
The court heard from prosecutor Paul John that the 33-year-old had, without lawful excuse, threatened that a home belonging to a woman in Hereford would be "lit up", intending to cause fear that the threat would be carried out on May 15 last year.

He had also assaulted a man and a woman by beating in Hereford on the same date, the court heard.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service and Montgomery, of Brobury Close, Hereford, was released on unconditional bail.
He will appear before magistrates in Hereford next for sentencing on April 20.
