The court heard from prosecutor Owen Beale that the 30-year-old had been caught in possession of 6.8g of controlled class B drug ketamine in Bristol on October 26, 2021, in contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Hyde, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Katherine Maineread and who is of Peterchurch, Herefordshire, was fined £192 for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
The drugs were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed, while Hyde was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £185 and a £34 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
