AN ACCUSED Hereford man has been sent for trial after denying a charge of possessing a knife in a public place.
Mark Hanson appeared before magistrates in Hereford in March accused of one count of possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.
The court heard from prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 34-year-old is accused of, without good reason or lawful authority, possessing a table knife in a public place, namely Belmont's Hedley Lodge, on February 17.

The case was sent for trial and Hanson, of Pomona Place in Hereford, was released on bail with conditions not to contact two people and not to attend Hedley Lodge.
He will appear before magistrates in Hereford for trial on May 4.
