FIRE crews have been called to rescue a woman and her dog from the river Lugg near Hereford.
Hereford Fire Station said crews were called to the water rescue at the river Lugg in Sutton St Nicholas.
After the crews from Hereford, Worcester and Ledbury arrived, they searched the Lugg and found where the incident was.

Swiftwater rescue technicians, those with special training, rescued one person and their dog, Hereford Fire Station said, adding luckily one person had rescued themselves before crews arrived.
"This is an opportunity to remind us all that our water courses can be dangerous," the spokesperson said.
"If you witness an animal in distress please refrain from attempting to rescue and call the emergency services.
"For anyone in distress in the water inland, call 999 and ask for the fire service."
