NO wonder the footfall is low in Hereford city when you hear visitors remark on the cost of parking around the city.
I asked a couple the other day at the payment machine at Maylord if all the car parks were so dear.
To visit the city and have time for a meal you need six to seven hours, and then getting in and out is no joy.
OTHER LETTERS:
- Armed police for baby threats in High Town over the top
- Driver's car park horror after paying for ticket in Hereford
- Roads are disgracefully potholed but council tax pain piled on
A second river crossing/bypass or a better traffic control system is needed.
Someone said years ago Hereford needed a park-and-ride, I died laughing at this.
