EXTRA patrols have been put in place at a Hereford park following an alleged rape in a toilet block.
A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape in relation to the incident that happened in Castle Green at around 12.30pm yesterday (Monday).
He remains in police custody. West Mercia Police say they responded to the report immediately and an extensive search of the area was undertaken to locate the suspect.

A cordon was placed around the male toilet block, with two officers standing outside. A crime scene investigation vehicle was also sent to the scene, with an officer taking photographs insident the toilet.
Following the arrest, Detective Inspector Catherine Taylor said: “I know that incidents of rape and sexual assault can be alarming for the local community, especially when there is a large police presence. I hope that the swift arrest of the suspect in this case provides some reassurance that we take reports of this nature incredibly seriously.
