BORN and bred in Herefordshire, Strongbow has stuck to its black and gold roots for many years… until now.
The black and gold design of its bottles and cans has remained a constant for the last 63 years.
But now the cider loved by millions across the UK has undergone a makeover, which sees a fresh new look featuring the famous archer front and centre, with vibrant pops of colour.
Strongbow uses billions of apples grown on thousands of acres of orchards in Herefordshire, partnering with over 100 farmers in the region The apples are pressed at the mill in Ledbury and the cider is made, canned, bottled and kegged at Hereford.

Rachel Holms, cider marketing director for Heineken UK, says: “The new look Strongbow is a real Herefordshire team effort! From our partner farmers, to the people who drop off bags of apples from their trees in their gardens, through to our colleagues in the mill and cidermakers, the new look Strongbow which will be enjoyed by millions of people across the country is a Herefordshire triumph.”
A brand new Strongbow flavour is also being introduced – Strongbow Tropical, with flavours of mango and pineapple.
The zesty new flavour has no artificial flavours, sweeteners or colours. What’s more, all Strongbow flavours are gluten-free and vegan friendly, a spokesperson said.
