A HEREFORDSHIRE man accused of dumping large amounts of rubbish in the county has been sent for trial.
Zackery Biddle appeared before magistrates in Hereford in April accused of five counts of depositing controlled or extractive waste on or in land, one count of disposing of controlled waste in a manner likely to cause pollution or harm to human health, and two counts of handling, controlling, or transferring controlled waste without taking reasonable measures.
The court heard from the prosecutor that Biddle is accused of dumping gas canisters, a sofa, a trolley, building materials, cardboard, wood, and other general waste on land at Openfields Caravan Site in Bromyard on July 8, 2021.

The 23-year-old is also accused of dumping further waste at the site, including a chicken coop, a tumble drier, a sofa swivel chair, and other waste on January 22, 2021, mattresses, bed bases, plastic chairs, wood, black bin bags, and other waste on April 19, 2021, and mattresses, bed bases, plastic chairs, wood, and bin bags of waste on April 20.
He is further accused of disposing of controlled waste, namely copper cables coated in a combustible material, in a manner likely to cause pollution or harm to health in Bromyard on January 17, 2022, and failing to transfer waste in line with regulations of the Environmental Protection Act on the same date.
The case was sent to the crown court for trial and Biddle, of Openfields, Bringsty, was released on unconditional bail.
He will appear before Worcester Crown Court for trial on May 16.
