A HEREFORD driver has been fined by magistrates after he was caught ignoring road markings while driving on a busy main road with balding tyres.
John Michael Underhill entered guilty pleas to one count of failing to comply with solid white line road markings and one count of using a passenger vehicle with tyres with insufficient tread to magistrates in Worcester in April.

The court heard from the prosecutor that the 32-year-old had been caught failing to comply with the indication given by solid white line markings on the A4103 in Herefordshire while behind the wheel of a Ford Galaxy on February 12.
He had also been driving that vehicle on the A4103 with a tyre fitted that had insufficient tread of less than 1.6mm on the same date, the magistrates were told.
Underhill, of Kilvert Road, Hereford, was fined a total of £120 for the offences and received three penalty points. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £48 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
