BROMYARD

Celebrate on Sunday, May 7 at Kempson Playing Fields, Bromyard. Charity-run local park putting on massive celebrations for the King’s coronation. With a variety of trade stalls, food vendors and 10 acts performing live music on stage. Children’s activities. Also fully licensed bar. Fun to be had for all the family.

PRESTEIGNE

Presteigne & Norton Bring Your Own Coronation Picnic. Went's Meadow, on Sunday, May 7, midday to 4pm. Competitions for all ages – Best Crown from Recycled Materials; Best Dressed King or Queen; Best Dressed Royal Dog. Bring tables/chairs. Music by DJ Sparks.

TARRINGTON

Celebration of the King's Coronation at the Lady Emily Hall on Monday, May 8, starting at 6pm and continuing till 10pm. All are welcome !

There will be a Pig Roast, with a vegetarian option, licensed bar and musical entertainment provided by "Band for Life". Entry is free, but there is a charge of £5 per head for pig roast portions - catering for 100 only - so get there promptly or you could be disappointed.

BRILLEY AND MICHAELCHURCH

Coronation celebrations On Saturday, May 6, Brilley and Michaelchurch Village Hall will be hosting a social event to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III. This will start at 11.30am and run through till 3.30pm. If you are coming and can bring along a plate of food to share, it would be much appreciated.

Coronation Teas at St. Mary’s Church To mark the Coronation we will be serving Coronation Teas at St. Mary’s Church, Brilley on Sunday, May 7 from 2pm to 4pm.

EWYAS HAROLD

Wildplay Coronation Celebration on the Recreation Ground 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, May 6. Includes the chance to create a crown.

ORCOP

Toast the King On Sunday, May 7 Orcop Parish Hall invite you to Toast the King at a FREE event. A Royal Ramble is planned – follow the route and find clues along the way. Starting from 2pm at Orcop Village Hall and meeting back at the hall at 4pm for a complimentary cream tea … or just come for the cream tea and toast. To finish, raised a glass of fix to the new King Charles III.

AYMESTREY

Coronation tea Aymestrey Parish Hall will be hosting an Afternoon Tea on Sunday, May 7 from 2pm as part of the Coronation celebrations. Every parishioner is welcome. There will be a small charge to cover costs. Any profit will go towards the installation of a defibrillator at Yatton. Please call Steph Dunn on 01568 770224 to let her know if you will be coming.

PETERCHURCH

Coronation weekend The Hub will be serving breakfast fit for a King on Saturday, May 6 from 10am to 12 noon. In the evening, local musical legends Blue Moon will be playing in The Hub from 8pm to 11pm. Tickets for the evening event are free but need to be reserved in advance (telephone 01981 551143 or email info@hubcommunity.org).

GROSMONT

CLEHONGER

Golden Valley Country Music Club have Johnny and Hywel on Saturday, May 6, Coronation Day, at Clehonger Village Hall 8pm until 11.30pm, £5 pay at door, bring your own food and drinks, wear red, white and blue and join us to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III

Coronation Big Lunch on Sunday May 7 will take the form of a bring-your-own picnic at the Village Hall followed by a range of entertainments, running from 12.30pm to 6pm.

LEOMINSTER

A Monarch’s Meander A short walk around Leominster on Monday, May 8, exploring some royal links. Starts at 10am at Grange court, Leominster. Limited numbers, tickets required. Tickets £3.00 from TIC, Corn Square, Leominster, Children free.

Live stream of the coronation Saturday, May 6, from 10am at Leominster Community Hall, School Road. Open house, all welcome. Licensed bar, complementary tea and coffee.

HEREFORD

Royal Adventure Trail Hereford City Life invites families to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III with their free Royal Adventure Trail, which will run from Saturday, April 29 to Monday, May 8. On the big screen the coronation can be seen on the big screen on Saturday, May 6 from 11am to 4pm on Hereford’s Castle Green, as part of an event organised by Hereford River Carnival and supported by Hereford City Council and events firm Ration Studios.

Coronation Blitz Party on Sunday, May 7, the Shack Revolution, off Union Street, will become a World War Two bomb shelter for a “Coronation Blitz Party”, With live swing music, burlesque cabaret and vintage DJs, and catering by The Beefy Boys. Tickets for the event are £20.

The Loft Cinema Coronation Weekend The Coronation on Saturday, May 6 will be the centrepiece of live coverage with ceremonial events including the Westminster Abbey service. You’re invited to come together to celebrate and share in the significance of the occasion at The Loft.

The Monument, Whitecross Road A new king, a long weekend, bottomless brunch, a brand-new drink for the occasion and a weekend of events - plenty of reasons for you to get together with your faves for the King’s Coronation.

A Concert for the Coronation Hereford Cathedral School & Hereford Cathedral present A Concert For The Coronation on Friday, May 5 at 7pm. A concert of uplifting, celebratory and patriotic music. Performed by the choirs, concert band and symphony orchestra of Hereford Cathedral School.

Café on the Close on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, 11am to 3.30pm, celebrate in the Cathedral Close with refreshments from the new pop up café area.

Coronation exhibitions Visit the cathedral to view photographs from royal visits throughout the years, an archive display of royal seals and documents and a selection of artwork by local primary schoolchildren celebrating King Charles’ values. Until Friday, May 19.

Cosy Club Coronation plans for the long weekend include a free limited-edition teacup cocktail – Victoria Sponge or Coronation Cup - for anyone named Charles, Camilla or with the surname King.

ROSS-ON-WYE

Schools’ Art Exhibition at St Mary’s Church, eight local primary schools display artwork inspired by the big event.

Live screening On Saturday, May 6, the coronation will be live-streamed from St Mary’s Church Hall on the big screen (doors open 10.30am).

Coronation Market Ross-on-Wye Town Council’s coronation market will run from 10am to 3pm with traders selling local produce, food, drink, flowers, plants, cakes and bakes with seating and music from local buskers. The Paddle Café will be selling wine, beer and soft drinks and music duo Annteek will play at midday.

Mayor of Ross-on-Wye Town Council’s Coronation Ball will take place at the Ross Rowing Club. Tickets, £40, include a glass of fizz on arrival, a fork buffet and live music from The Forfeits. King’s Coronation Church Service at St Mary’s Church on Sunday, May 7 at 11am will be followed by a fizzy toast to the King’s health and a giant family friendly picnic in the churchyard grounds (inside if wet).

Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle will be live streamed at 8pm at St Mary’s Church where everyone is welcome to join (free entry, doors open 7.30pm, BYO drinks and snacks).

The Big Help Out, where volunteers are invited to join in with a churchyard clean up at St Mary’s Church (bringing tools if possible). For details, contact St Mary’s Church by emailing rachel@rossparishes.uk.

The Gateway Cinema in Ross-on-Wye is hosting a screening of The King’s Speech followed by a “Best of British Feast” on Monday, May 8.

LEDBURY

HOLME LACY

King’s Coronation Lunch on Sunday, May 7 between 1pm and 6pm at the village hall. Free hog roast lunch for adults, and barbecue for children, plus “fun and games throughout the day”. The kids’ entertainment includes a mini disco, a comedy magic show and high energy party games. There will also be a fancy dress competition for kids – prizes for best dressed King, Queen, Prince or Princess.

SHOBDON

Coronation Celebrations on Saturday, May 6 there will be a Children’s Picnic with fun and games on the school field, a Seniors Afternoon Tea, followed by a Dance in the evening. A leaflet will be dropped to every household with details and a form for reply of which parts people would like to take part.
