7 private gardens in Herefordshire opening to the public

The National Garden Scheme (NGS) has announced details of its Herefordshire events from May 2023.

The NGS raises money for nursing and health charities through admissions, tea and cake.

7 private gardens opening to the public in Herefordshire from May 2023

The Picton Garden, Old Court Nurseries, Walwyn Road, Colwall, WR13 6QE

Opening dates: May 13 and June 10

There’s plenty of flowers and plants to see at The Picton Garden including more than 300 varieties of snowdrop.

Ivy Croft, Ivington Green, Leominster, HR6 0JN

Opening dates: May 17 and 24

Take in the views of the cottage that’s surrounded by raised beds as well as borders plus follow the paths to the wider garden where you’ll see vegetables and snowdrops.

Wainfield, Peterstow, Ross-On-Wye, HR9 6LJ

Opening dates: May 19 and 20

With a rose garden, fruit trees, a pond with a waterfall plus more, there’s plenty to see at Wainfield.
