FIREFIGHTERS had to remove part of Debenhams' sign at Hereford's Old Market yesterday (May 15) due to it being at risk of falling off.
A crew from was called to the shopping centre at just after 4.50pm, while police were also sent to help with the road closure.
The sign was removed using the aerial ladder platform, a reciprocating saw and small tools, before crews left at around 6.10pm.

The Debenhams store has been closed for the past two years after opening at the Old Market in 2014.
Last July, it was reported that British Land had been in talks with Herefordshire-based online fashion retailer MandM Direct about the empty shop.
Plans submitted to Herefordshire Council showed the shopping centre, owned by British Land, wanted to turn the two upper floors of the unit left empty when Debenhams went in to administration into offices.
