A HEREFORD man has been handed a community order after he was caught in possession of a knife.
Scott Wilkinson appeared before magistrates in Hereford in May for sentencing after entering a guilty plea to one count of possessing a knife or sharp-pointed article in a public place at an earlier hearing.

The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 41-year-old had, without good reason or lawful authority, been in possession of a folding pocket knife with a blade which had a cutting edge of more than three inches in Hereford's Redwing Walk on August 7.
Wilkinson, of Old School Lane, Hereford, was handed a two-year community order, ordered to carry out a 30-day Building Better Relationships programme, and fined £100.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £100 and a £114 victim surcharge, while the folding pocket knife was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
