A BUSINESS owner has escaped a roads ban due to the effect it would have on employees.
James Partridge appeared before magistrates in Worcester for sentencing after entering a guilty plea to one count of exceeding a 50 miles per hour limit at an earlier hearing.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 50-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Nissan in a 50 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Pencraig in Herefordshire on July 22.

Partridge, of Cavendish Street, Worcester, was fined £40 and received three penalty points for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £110 and a £16 victim surcharge.
No totting disqualification was made, however, as magistrates said a ban would cause a loss of business and would have an impact on employees.
