AN HISTORIC pub in a village in Herefordshire has been put up for sale.
The Red Lion in Madley is on the market with agents Sidney Phillips for £365,000 (freehold).
The characterful pub, which dates back to the 16th century, is set on the main road through the village.
It comes complete with three trading areas, including a lounge, garden room, and bar with snug, eight en-suite letting bedrooms, and a large brick-built barn, which agents Sidney Phillips said could be suitable for conversion, subject to planning.

Inside, the pub features a wealth of character including exposed beams and fireplaces.
Outside is a pub garden and car parking.
The pub currently enjoys a 4.5 out of five star rating on reviews website Tripadvisor, with visitors praising the home-cooked food offered and the "beautiful" rooms.
It received a five-star rating from food hygiene inspectors at its most recent inspection in March, with inspectors branding it "very good" overall.
