UPDATE: this planning application was withdrawn on July 20.
A former council depot on the edge of a Herefordshire town is to become a car dealership.
Herefordshire Council announced in April it would let out its Ashfields Depot on Hereford Road, Bromyard, but that the letting was “subject to the proposed tenant firstly obtaining planning permission”.
Aaron Adams of Dorset has now submitted an application to use the vacant depot, previously used for roads maintenance, for car sales.

A plan for 45 houses on the site, in a partnership between the council and Keepmoat Homes, was previously approved but fell through in 2021 due to land ownership and access issues.
Comments on the new application, numbered 231308, can be made until June 28.
