A THIEF who stole almost £700 worth of goods from Hereford's Asda supermarket has been fined just £80 by magistrates.
Kevin Blount admitted one count of theft from a shop and one count of obstructing or resisting a police constable in the execution of their duty when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in June.
A charge of failing to provide a sample for a drug test was withdrawn at the hearing.

The court heard from prosecutor Valerie Hart that the 30-year-old had stolen an ice cream maker, an LCD TV, DVDs, alcohol, and food items worth a total of £682.59 from Hereford's Asda supermarket on June 13.
He had also resisted a police officer who was acting in the execution of his duties in Hereford on the same date, the court heard.
Blount, of Water Lane, Smithy Fen, Cambridge, was fined £80, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty pleas into account when deciding on the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £185 and a £32 victim surcharge.
