The court heard from prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 45-year-old had, without lawful excuse, damaged a car boot belonging to another person in Leominster, intending to destroy or damage it or being reckless as to whether it was destroyed or damaged, on December 24 last year.
Minett, of Westgate, Leominster, was handed a six-month conditional discharge for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when coming to their decision.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £26 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
