A SERIOUSLY injured man has been airlifted to hospital after an incident in Herefordshire.

Emergency crews were called to a report of an injured person in the Scotland Bank area of Dorstone in Herefordshire at 3.59pm on July 6, a spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service has today confirmed.

The Midland Air Ambulance from Strensham was sent to the scene, alongside an ambulance, a paramedic officer, and a BASICS emergency doctor.

On arrival, the crews found an elderly man who had sustained serious injuries, the spokesperson said.

He was given advanced trauma care at the scene before being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham by air ambulance for further treatment.
