THE case against a Herefordshire teenager has been dismissed.
Shay Cullen appeared before magistrates in Hereford in July after entering not guilty pleas to two counts of engaging in coercive or controlling behaviour.
The court heard from prosecutor Sarah Hurd that the 18-year-old was accused of engaging in coercive and controlling behaviour by using and threatening violence towards a woman between January 31, 2022, and April 6, 2022, and between March 31, 2021, and October 1, 2021.
Cullen, who gave the court a 'care of' address in Hereford, was found not guilty of both charges at the hearing, as no evidence was offered by the prosecution, and the case was dismissed.
