HEAVY rain is forecast to hit Herefordshire for up to 11 hours tomorrow (Friday).
According to the Met Office, it will start getting wet from 8am with the rain not relenting until about 7pm. The radar shows particularly heavy rain at lunchtime.
It means that flooding could be possible on some of the county's roads, particularly on notorious hotspots.
The unsettled weather continues into Saturday (July 15), with again lunchtime looking bad. The Met Office's forecast shows a 70 per cent of thunder at 1pm for Hereford.

Thankfully, it looks like a more settled picture for Sunday (July 16) with sunny spells in the afternoon and early evening.
Next week's forecast also shows sunny spells, although there is a still a chance of some light rain.

Today:
Mostly fine with sunny spells. A few showers are possible, although lighter and more isolated than on Wednesday. Feeling pleasantly warm in any sunshine, with just a slight breeze. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Tonight:
Cloudier with the chance of a shower this evening, but mostly dry overnight with occasional clearer spells developing. Mild, with a freshening southerly breeze towards the morning. Minimum temperature 13 °C.
Friday:
Turning rather windy with rain moving north across the region during the morning. Some heavier rain is possible and staying rather wet into the afternoon, albeit becoming more showery later. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Staying unsettled with heavy showers on Saturday and some locally torrential downpours and thunderstorms. Fewer showers on Sunday and Monday with lengthier sunny spells. Windy and feeling cool for July.
