The court heard from prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 25-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Philip Cornell, had been caught out on the A49 in Hereford after getting behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta while over the drink-driving limit on December 28.
An evidential blood test revealed that he had 160 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 microgrammes.
Bridges, of Tudor Rise, Ross-on-Wye, was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 19 months. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £48 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
