AN EMERGENCY footpath closure has been put in force on a busy path in Hereford.
A spokesperson for Balfour Beatty Living Places and Herefordshire Council said Hereford footpath 27, which runs between the Old Bridge and Hunderton Bridge in Hereford is closed from today (July 17).
The closure, which is to repair fencing, will be in force for three days, and walkers are asked to observe signage for a diversion route.
Fencing on the path, which runs alongside the river Wye, was heavily damaged in Storm Dennis in February 2020, however the council announcement did not make it clear as to whether it is this area of fencing that is being repaired.
